Vail is just exceptional.

At her (and my!) very first show Vail took Best of Winners, Owner Handled Best of Breed, Best Puppy in Breed, and a Puppy Sporting Group 4th.

She excels in Obedience and Rally Obedience, and has won numerous High In Trials. By the age of two she was competing at the Excellent level in Scentwork. She has titles in Dock Diving and Precision Coursing, and is currently training in Agility, Shed Hunting, and Hunting Retriever.

In December 2023, at the age of two, Vail took fourth place at the national UKC Total Dog Invitational in Lexington, KY after competing in Rally, Obedience, Agility, Nosework, and Conformation over the course of a weekend. She was the highest scoring dog on the first day after scoring 199.5 in Advanced Open Obedience and 100 in Rally Masters.

Most importantly, she is an exceptional family dog and travel partner. Vail exemplifies the gentle, kind, willing temperament that the breed is known for. She is the best hiking companion that you could hope for. Vail is a particularly calm dog; she is eager to participate in any activity, but is equally content to snooze. It is essential to me that a dog is easy to live with as they are companions above all. The only difficult thing about Vail is finding the time to do it all!
